Abstract

Currently, metal free prosthetic treatment methods have become widely used around the world. From a prosthodontists' point of view, a more natural tooth color is highly recommended. There are many topics I would like to share, but as the time is limited, I will talk about cores for metal free restorations.

In my talk I will explain the points to pay attention to when applying foundation restoration using composite resin and glass fiber posts. In addition, knowledge of basic dental adhesives is essential for successful metal-free foundation restoration. So, I will go over some basic information regarding adhesives and their use. Next, I will explain the selection criteria for foundation restoration based on the amount of remaining dentin in the root canal treated tooth. Then, I will introduce the technique of building up the composite resin core using a custom core form. Finally, I will share some metal-free prosthetic treatment cases, including fixed partial dentures.
