According to statistics, 37% of the US population has Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA), but 87% of these cases remain undiagnosed. 

As a dentist, you may encounter hidden OSA patients or high OSA risk patients, including those with a history of TMD or bruxism. However, TMD also can be a potential side effect of using oral appliances.
