She is also working as a maxillofacial prosthetic specialist at the Clinic for Maxillofacial Prosthetics of TMDU University Hospital. She was a visiting professor at the Department of Prosthetic Dentistry of Freiburg University, Germany between 2016 and 2017. Dr. Hattori is a member of the Japan Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetics (JAMP) and the Japan Prosthodontics Society (JPS). She is contributing to maxillofacial prosthetic patients and musician patients locally and internationally from various aspects, such as the evaluation of speech and music performance of the patients. In 2022 she contributed to establishing the Japanese Performing Art Medicine Association (JPAMA) as an organizing member. She also intensively contributed to literature in this area through various publications in many internationally peer-reviewed journals and conference presentations.
